Our History
S.F.S. High School was established in the year 1974 by the Missionaries of Saint Francis De Sales (M.S.F.S.), a Roman Catholic religious congregation founded in 1838 in Annecy, France. It began with just 245 students and 6 teaching staff, offering classes from L.K.G. to III. By 1981, Class X was introduced, and in March 1982, the first batch appeared for the SSC examination.
Over the decades, S.F.S. High School has made significant contributions to the educational field through value-based education, moral development, and holistic grooming of students. In June 2023, the school entered its Golden Jubilee year after 49 years of remarkable service to education.
Our Patron: St. Francis De Sales (1567–1622)
St. Francis De Sales was a scholar, bishop, and spiritual writer, known for his deep compassion and wisdom. He is the Patron Saint of Writers and Journalists, revered for his works "Introduction to the Devout Life" and "Treatise on the Love of God." Known as the "Gentleman Saint," his teachings continue to inspire kindness and devotion in millions across the world.
He was ordained in 1593 and served as Bishop of Geneva from 1602. Canonized in 1665 and declared Doctor of the Church in 1877, his legacy lives on through many institutions that carry his name and spirit.
