Guidelines for a positive learning environment
General Rules and Discipline
- Pupils must attend school regularly. Leave is only granted for serious reasons.
- Absence on the first day of term is a serious offence.
- Leave applications should be written in the school calendar.
- Leave of absence is granted only by the Head Master.
- If a student cannot attend, a leave application must reach the H.M. early.
- Only parents may sign the leave letter. Oral messages are ignored.
- Students without leave letters may be excluded from class.
- No student may leave during school hours without H.M.'s permission.
- Children should not be withdrawn from class for social functions.
- Students absent without leave for over a month will be removed from rolls.
- Jewellery is not allowed; school isn’t responsible for lost valuables.
- Books or newspapers must not be brought without H.M.’s permission.
- School is not responsible for injuries. Treatment costs will be borne by parents.
- Mobile phones and gadgets are strictly prohibited.
- Students must wear proper uniform. Religious attire needs Principal's permission.
- Parents can meet the H.M. from 3–4 p.m. on working days (except Saturdays).
- Parents can meet teachers before or after class, never during class hours.
- Parents should meet H.M. and teachers once a term to discuss progress.
- Classes run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. daily, split into two sessions.
